Daily Design #5

Last night I decided to take the plunge, to go ahead and install Ubuntu onto one of my systems. I had been wanting to do this for quite some time but since my systems were both dedicated to specific jobs, wasn’t too sure if I had the time, patience or technical knowledge should things got messy.

Don’t think I’ve fallen for an OS as quickly as I have for Ubuntu. It’s awesome. So awesome in fact…it’s on all of my systems now. Save one system that still has Windows running alongside for all my apps.

So today’s daily design reflects this, and my first official design in Gimp. I tried for years to get into Gimp and it just flies over my head. Not entirely sure what happened today but something worked :)

  • Fantastic! :) Good for you! I still need to find the time to do a dual-boot on my Windows 7 system. Only problem I ever had with Linux was I couldn’t get it to work with my stupid Dell printer, and don’t have the money for a new printer quite yet. Grrrr. But I definitely want to get back into using it regularly again, then just have Windows for things like Poser and Adobe.
